MIXING & EFFECTS
All audio is passed through FL Studio's mixer. Each instrument channels mixer track selector directs its output to one of the 64 insert mixer tracks where the sound is processed with a set of integrated filters,
and may optionally be processed with a set of additional external effects. A
video tutorial on
using effects is available on the FL Studio website.
FL Studio comes with many high-quality effects, so you can add reverb, phaser, flange, delay line and many other professional treatments in your project without purchasing any 3rd party plugins.
As FL Studio is an application with an open architecture, you can also incorporate most of the popular standards of 3rd party effect plugins in the mixing chain. For more information on the effects standards supported by FL Studio, click the Supported Effects Standards link below.
In the default setup of the Mixer, all mixer tracks are processed in parallel, then sent to the master mixer track before the final sound is formed. However, with the 4 additional send tracks, and the ability to route the audio output of a mixer track to any other track, you have the freedom to create complex hierarchical mixing chains. Note: For more information about the effects included in FL Studio see the Effect plugin landing page.
